Groups

There are no open groups at this time.
Codependency Group:
Provides a safe environment for friends and family of people with any form of addiction to learn about the characteristics of addiction, codependency and recovery.  Group members learn mindfulness skills by practicing them in group.  Acceptance and support of "crazy" behavior trying to get the addict to stop is invaluable.  Group members will understand what works and what doesn't when you love someone with addiction.  You are not alone!
Being in Individual Therapy is a requirement.
DBT Skills Group:
This is a group that is open to new group members at the start of each module.  Group members learn and practice skills of Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness.  This group is for people who's emotions control them.  It is a way to learn to deal with people and situations without making them worse.
This is not the full DBT protocol.  Being in Individual Therapy is a requirement.
Relapse Prevention Group:
Anyone who has been in recovery from any form of addiction for any period of time realizes that relapse is an unfortunate part of the path.  This process is not a mystery.  We understand how it works.  Group members develop a Daily Inventory of Relapse and Recovery Signs, a personalized Relapse Cycle and Relapse Prevention Plan.

Attendance at a recovery support group and either individual counseling or a strong relationship with a sponsor are requirements.
